Lauren Lyle has brought us behind-the-scenes pictures during Droughtlander
There is absolutely no doubt that Droughtlander is hard. And this one is harder than all the others combined. The Outlander stars are trying to help us through it, though.
The latest help comes from Lauren Lyle, who decided to share a few photos on her Instagram. They’re all from the 1960s dreamscape scenes, where all members of the family are dressed in 1960s clothing and getting ready for Thanksgiving at the Frasers’ house.
However, there’s something special about these behind-the-scenes photos. They’re not just random photos shared for us to get a glimpse of what happened behind the camera. They’ve been touched up in a way that makes them look real.

The photos are made to look like Polaroids or the grainy photos you’d have got in the 1960s. They give the images a more realistic look, transporting us back into the time that the dreamscape was set in. It’s almost like these are real people.
In fact, the photos remind me of ones that I saw of my parents and grandparents from the 1960s. There’s that same quality to them, that just makes this project all the more outstanding.
And, of course, it’s fun to see what happened behind the scenes. I do think my favorite is Murtagh and Jocasta doing the dance from Saturday Night Fever, even thought that movie wasn’t released until 1977. We can allow the timing being out of sync when it came to that dreamscape, right?
Lyle isn’t in all the photos. However, she is in many of them, including one with Cesar Domboy and one with Duncan Lacroix and John Bell.
