What do we know about Lizzie in Outlander Season 6 based on the books?
At the beginning of August, the Outlander cast and EPs shared some teases of things to expect in Outlander Season 6 during the PaleyFest panel. One of those teases was all about Lizzie.
There wasn’t much to say. Matt B. Roberts isn’t a fan of giving away spoilers, so it’s not surprising to hear that he didn’t go into too many details. However, we do have the books.
While the series has diverged from the books here and there, there are many storylines that have stayed the same. I suspect the storyline surrounding Lizzie will definitely stay the same.
Outlander Season 6 spoilers: Lizzie and the Beardsley twins
Lizzie is a young girl who is quickly infatuated. In the books, she’s in her early teens, so she is swirling with hormones. That’s not quite the case in the series, but it’s already clear that Lizzie has taken a liking to a certain Beardsley twin. She was making eyes at Josiah while he was waiting to see Claire about his sore throat.
That should come back if Outlander Season 6 follows the books. Lizzie takes a liking to both twins. She even sleeps with both twins.
In fact, Lizzie marries one of the twins and is handfast to another. And the twins know about this. They’re used to sharing and are more than happy to share Lizzie.
This has to be the storyline that the show EPs hinted towards. After all, there’s just nothing else that could be as entertaining as young Lizzie’s love for both boys.
The show hasn’t had the chance to show Lizzie’s interest in the two twins up to this point. She’s made eyes at Josiah, but that’s about it. There just wasn’t enough time to focus on that in the fifth season, but there should be in the sixth. Even if it’s just in one episode!
