Claire and Jamie leave France behind in Outlander Book 2, Chapter 29

Outlander Book 2, Chapter 29 brings an end to the France storyline for Claire and Jamie. It’s time to get into the breakdown of the chapter.

It’s time for Claire and Jamie to heal. They’re not going to be able to do that in France, and that’s not just because they’re not allowed to stay. Well, more specifically, Jamie isn’t allowed to stay. If he does, King Louis will have him locked back in the Bastille.

However, they can’t stay for other reasons. They’ve lost too much in the country, and all they want to do is head back home. It’s time to go back to Lallybroch.

There’s a weight to this chapter as Claire and Jamie’s bond repairs from the situation of the last few chapters. It’s important in the sense that we get a reset, but there’s something that happens in the TV show that I adore considerably.

It’s time to break down the chapter, a chapter that is about the average length. It’s also the last chapter of Part Four, marking a clear end to a storyline.

Let’s get into the breakdown of the Dragonfly in Amber Chapter 29 breakdown. Are you ready?
