Claire learns the truth about the brothel in Outlander Book 2, Chapter 28

We get ready to leave France behind in Outlander Book 2, Chapter 28. First, Claire and Jamie need to reconcile, and that means Claire needs to learn the truth about why Jamie dueled Black Jack Randall.

This chapter picks up back at Louise’s country home. We don’t get to know everything that happened at Court after St. Germain’s death until the end of the chapter. First, Claire has a lot to learn about the events that took place.

We do see Fergus share a little more about himself and his past. He’s led such a short life, but it’s been a hard one. Knowing that he ends up with Claire and Jamie is certainly a relief, but his hard life isn’t over yet.

However, we do see Claire and Jamie reunite in this chapter. It’s essential to push the story forward, especially with the Battle of Culloden still to come.

It’s an average length chapter, coming in at around 40 minutes on Audible. At the same time, it’s one that had to be adapted a lot to make up for change to a couple of storylines. However, I do think the show did a brilliant job to keep things concise.

Let’s get into the breakdown of Dragonfly in Amber Chapter 28.
