All 10 episodes of The Crown Season 4 will be on Netflix in November
We always like to support the Outlander actors of the past. The Crown has become a must-watch with Tobias Menzies in the role of Prince Philip. Now we know Season 4 is heading our way in November 2020.
The Crown Season 4 will drop all 10 episodes together on Sunday, Nov. 15. Sundays are an unusual day for Netflix to drop originals, but not entirely unheard of. The Last Kingdom Season 4 dropped its episodes on a Sunday, too.
This is the last season with Menzies in the role of Prince Philip after he took over from Matt Smith in the third season. The Crown Seasons 5 and 6 will have Jonathan Pryce step into the role. The plan has always been to change actors every two seasons.
What to expect on The Crown Season 4
The fourth season sees Margaret Thatcher’s time as Prime Minister. She’ll be played by Gillian Anderson. We’ll also see the introduction of Diana Spencer, and from the teaser below, it looks like the wedding to Prince Charles will take place at some point.
Olivia Colman’s Queen Elizabeth tells someone that the duty to the crown will always come first. This will likely be to Charles, who will want to marry Camila but will be pushed into a marriage to Diana. As we know from real history, things didn’t work and the two divorced, something that may or may not come up in the fourth season. That may be kept for the fifth season.
What will Philip’s role be in this? What about his opinion on the matter? That will be interesting to find out, considering he has done things purely for duty, as we saw in the earlier seasons.
