She knows when she’s being lied to

Jenny is a smart woman. She knows when someone isn’t telling her the full story. It’s no wonder when Claire came back that Jenny didn’t take to her that well. That sisterly relationship that the two had gained during the first two seasons was gone by the third, simply because Jenny couldn’t trust Claire.

I really wish that Claire and Jamie had decided to trust Jenny and Ian with the truth about time travel. It could have made things so much better. While Jenny would likely have still been upset that Claire didn’t look into the family in the future, it would have made more sense to her than Claire not even writing to the family for 20 years.

She will have your back

As long as you’re good to her, Jenny will have your back. That was shown plenty during the show, even in just the handful of episodes we got with the character.

She went with Black Jack Randall to save her brother’s life. She prevented Claire from speaking when the Redcoats came over when Claire and Jamie were at Lallybroch the first time. Jenny even took young Rabbie and Fergus in when they needed her. She has always made sure those around her are protected.

This is a woman you want on your side. You definitely don’t want to cross her.
