Outlander convention Sasnak City postponted to 2021
Sasnak City 2020 is being pushed to the summer of 2021 thanks to COVID-19
Every year, there are a few events that we look forward to. Many Outlander fans can’t wait for Sasnak City, the Kansas City Outlander convention. Sadly, COVID-19 is forcing the convention to postpone to 2021.
The official Sasnak City Facebook page shared the disappointing but understandable announcement. The November 2020 convention will now take place in June 2021.
In a way, we could look at this being a good thing. Instead of being freezing cold, those visiting Kansas City can do it in the summer. And there’s a lot to see in Kansas City! It’s worth the exploration.
The decision was made shortly after New York Comic-Con announced that it was going virtual. Outlander often has a panel at NYCC, but there has been nothing mentioned about it just yet. Something may happen closer to the time, but it will depend on whether there’s any news to share about the show at that point.
Sasnak City can’t do virtual. Well, it can. There are virtual chats happening, and they’re great fun. However, they’re not the same as the convention itself, which is all about meeting fellow fans as well as meeting the stars.

What do we know about Sasnak City 2021 so far?
Right now, nothing has been released except for the new date. The Outlander convention will now happen from June 10 to 13, 2021. Yes, it’s still going to be a four-day convention.
Apart from the announcement of the date change, nothing else has been shared. Guests won’t be added until closer to the time.
If you already have a ticket, it’s worth joining the Sasnak City Attendees Group on Facebook. It’s only for past and present attendees and there are questions to answer to join. We’re excited for 2021. It is a shame that the convention had to be postponed, but it was a safe decision to make for all attending.
