An Outlander Book 9 excerpt is included in the Outlander Season 5 Collector’s Edition

There are different types of boxsets available for all Outlander seasons. The Collector’s Edition is the most expensive, but it also includes some awesome features. For the Outlander Season 5 Collector’s Edition, you’ll get your hands on a Book 9 excerpt.

The Outlander Collector shared the awesome news on social media. There weren’t many details that came with it, but then, we just need to know that there’s an excerpt right? We also just need to know that it’s on the Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. This isn’t going to be included on the standard DVD and Blu-ray releases.

The great news is you can pre-order the boxset now. It will also be released on Sept. 15, just like the other boxsets.

Diana Gabaldon shares more details

While The Outlander Collector couldn’t share more details about the excerpt, author of the novels, Diana Gabaldon, could. In a way, it was to clarify that it was just an excerpt as some fans seem to have misread the post and thought the whole of Book 9 was included.

As a side note, Book 9 is still being written. There is no publication date at the time of writing this.

Okay, so, what do we know about the excerpt? It’s going to be about nine pages long. That’s much more than the Daily Lines we get every now and again. It’s not known whereabouts in the book the excerpt will be from. It could be close to the start of the book, avoiding too many major spoilers for the story as a whole.

The Outlander Season 4 Collector’s Edition also included an excerpt from the ninth book. So, that will be two full excerpts you’ll have, and all it does is make us more excited for the ninth book, right?

Outlander Season 5 Collector’s Edition is available from Sept. 15.
