2. Taking action for her family
When it comes to it, Marsali has learned that family is important. She’s watched Jamie and Fergus do everything they can for family. She’s learned from Claire’s compassion.
Marsali has grown to become one of the most loyal members of the Fraser family. She cares deeply, and she will do what she can to protect everyone. When it came to Lionel Brown in the surgery, she knew what she had to do.
Claire refused to do any harm, but Marsali had never made an oath. She took Lionel’s life to make sure one less danger to the Frasers was out there.
1. Fear of going to hell
After taking Lionel’s life, we got to see Marsali realize everything she’d done. She panicked and was overcome with the fear of going to hell.
Jamie finds her on the floor. He knows exactly what she’s done and why. We see her turn from this strong woman willing to protect her family to a scared child who needs parents around to ease her mind.
It’s because of this moment and the previous that I’m excited to see what’s to come for Marsali during Outlander Season 6.
