Could Graham McTavish return for Lucifer Season 5A?
Lucifer Season 5A premieres in August, but will it include Graham McTavish?
We know that Lucifer Season 5A will premiere in August. As Outlander fans, you’re likely looking at your favorite actors returning to the show. Will Graham McTavish be in the fifth season?
If you haven’t watched Lucifer Season 4 yet, there are major spoilers about McTavish’s character in this post.
McTavish joined the show in the fourth season, as a priest who wanted to help Chloe deal with the knowledge that Lucifer Morningstar really was the devil. His mission to take down the devil took over, and he ended up killed off.
But this is a supernatural show. The dead don’t stay dead on these types of shows, and it wasn’t too surprising to see McTavish return as a demon later in the season. While the demon was then killed off, does that mean there’s no chance of McTavish returning?
There’s always the chance of another demon
Let’s be honest, there is always the chance that another demon could possess the body that was left vacant after the first demon death. It would all depend on the lore surrounding demon possession on this show. It wasn’t 100% clear if another demon can possess a person after the first demon or if a ritual is needed.
If a demon can’t possess the body, then there’s a slim chance we’ll see Graham McTavish return to Lucifer. Of course, we thought that when it came to Outlander. We were sure we’d never see the man playing Dougal again and then got a huge surprise in Season 5.
Could we see something like that again? Is there a chance that the show could find a way to bring the actor back? He’s certainly one of those many would love to see return, but it’s unlikely.
Never say never, though!
