What were the cast’s favorite Outlander Season 5 moments?
The main Outlander Season 5 cast members talk their individual favorite moments
We all have our favorite moments from Outlander Season 5. For some, Roger is going to take the main place, while others will keep their focus on Claire and Jamie. But while we’re sharing our favorite moments, the cast have shared theirs too.
Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, and Sophie Skelton have all shared their favorite moments from the season. One of the best things is that they’re not specific scenes but give us an insight into filming particular scenes.
Maggots and horses
Balfe and Skelton’s favorite moments are to do with particular events happening on and off camera. Everyone who has tuned into Outlander from the beginning and caught the interviews will know that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are extremely good friends. They like to joke around and prank each other.
It’s not surprising to find out that Balfe’s favorite moment was to do with the maggots and Heughan’s discomfort over them. Considering the cast told us the maggots sounded like Rice Krispies, it does lead to some shivers up the spine. Good to know Balfe and Heughan still find each other’s discomforts amusing.
Skelton’s favorite moment involved another animal, her horse. She shared just how much the horse didn’t like people and going downhill, which made filming extremely difficult. They always say not to work with animals and children.
Duncan Lacroix and weddings
For Heughan, his favorite moment was all about the finale with Duncan Lacroix returning as Murtagh. We’d all said goodbye to the character during the seventh episode, and it was heartbreaking. However, Claire brought him back through her dreamscape, and it sounds like that was a lot of fun to film on set.
As for Rankin, it was all about the wedding. This was one of those moments that saw the whole cast together. Everyone had a lot of fun, and it is certainly one of the most memorable episodes going. I think many fans were appreciative that it was about the wedding and not really about the Gathering.
