15 best Jamie moments from Outlander Season 5
6. Episode 7: Holding back
Jamie had been forced into the red coat. He was on the battlefield against many men that he knew from Ardsmuir. He knew that he was fighting against men who were fighting for a cause they believed in and it was a losing battle. Jamie didn’t want to fire.
On the Battle of Alamance, we saw the hesitation. As everyone else fired, Jamie waited to give the order. This wasn’t something he wanted to do, and maybe the hesitation would go a long way for the Regulators who may have made it out of the battle.
In the end, he had no choice. He had to lead his men in battle.
5. Episode 12: Just holding Claire
The Outlander Season 5 finale was a horrific episode to watch, but it also had some beautiful and standout Jamie moments. One of those was at the very end of the episode.
Jamie just held Claire in their bed. It was a mirror of when Claire had held Jamie as he was dying. He was there to protect her. I still get goosebumps as I think of this scene and the way Claire feels “safe” with Jamie. That’s all he wants in this moment; to protect her the way he couldn’t when she’d been abducted.
