10. Episode 4: The talk of children

Jamie and Claire go for a walk in the moonlight while they’re in Brownsville. This is a chance for the two to connect in a way they haven’t been able to since the wedding. They can cover topics that they haven’t talked about in years. It’s all about children.

Jamie understands that Claire won’t want to carry another child, but he feels like they missed out on raising a baby together. It’s something that he thinks they can do now. They could take the baby from the Beardsley homestead.

However, he doesn’t just want to do it without her blessing. He wants to see what she thinks about it. They both decide together that the baby would be better with the Brown family, but that doesn’t stop this moment being sweet and beautiful.

9. Episode 11: Telling Brianna about William

This is something we’d certainly been waiting a while for and we didn’t know if it would happen on Outlander Season 5. However, as Jamie feared he was losing his daughter to the future, he decided to tell her about William. He was completely honest, letting her know that she had a half-brother out there.

This is an important moment for father and daughter. It shows the love and trust Jamie has for Brianna. There’s also a hint of hope that she can find out about her half-brother through the history books. After all, his position would be something to write about in the history books.

We also get a chance to see Jamie and Brianna connect. It’s certainly something we’ve wanted to see for some time.
