Ranking the Outlander Season 5 episodes from worst to best

Outlander Season 5 is over and I’ve had the chance to rewatch the episodes. Here is my ranking of the 12 episodes from worst to best.

With Outlander Season 5 over, I’ve had the chance to watch the episodes again. This is a chance to reassess initial thoughts or remember details of earlier episodes, helping to create a ranking of the episodes.

Now the time has come for my ranking of the episodes. This is in order of worst to best.

When ranking, I am not taking my thoughts on the adaptation from the book into account. This is the first time I’ve watched the season knowing the book storylines in full—I started as a show-first fan—but I don’t want to cloud my judgment with thoughts on storylines picked from the book.

This ranking looks at the storyline, the character development, and the overall performances within the episodes. It also takes the episodes into account individually as well as a whole. Do the episodes stand on their own or are they only any good when you put them into the full season?

It certainly wasn’t easy to rank the Outlander Season 5 episodes. In fact, my two favorite episodes is more of a tie, but I’ve had to choose between them. I think the Top 5 is going to depend on my feelings at the time.
