While the Outlander Season 5 finale was mostly about Claire, there were some important Brianna moments. Here are my three favorite Bree moments from the episode.

Outlander Season 5, Episode 12 brought us the harrowing experience for Claire. However, there were moments that showed other characters in their elements. Brianna was able to empathize with her mother.

It’s time to finish our main character lookbacks for the Outlander Season 5 finale. Here are my three favorite Brianna moments.

3. Being just as surprised as Roger about the stones

There have been questions over whether Brianna wanted to leave the past. Well, from the look on her face when the stones spit them out back in the 18th century, I’d say she had committed to a life in the 20th century at this point. She was just as surprised as Roger to end up back in the past.

This is important. Brianna is ready to live a life with Roger and Jemmy. She wanted safety for all, especially after what everyone had been through. However, deep down, her home was at the Ridge—just like Roger’s home.

2. Knowing the severity of the cross

On the way back to the Ridge, Bree, Roger, and Young Ian choose to camp overnight and surprise everyone in the morning. However, Brianna spots the fiery cross. She knows immediately what that means and calls out to Roger.

There’s no discussion. You can tell on her face all she wants is to get back to the Ridge. The men don’t argue with her. Off they go to find out why Jamie has called for war.

1. ‘You have my hand, Mama’

Brianna is one who can empathize with Claire. She’s there to care for her mother after the ordeal but knows not to push for words. So, instead of waiting for Claire to say something, she just offers one little nugget.

“You have my hand, Mama. And my ear.” It’s something Lizzie had said to her and clearly made an impact. She knew that it would be something Claire would need to hear right now. In other words, “I’m here when you are ready, and if you want to talk to me.”
