Engineer Brianna finally showed up on Outlander, and it was worth the wait. Here are the three best Bree moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 9.

While everyone at Fraser’s Ridge tried all they could to save Jamie’s life, it was Engineer Brianna who helped to save the day at the end. It’s time to look back at Bree’s best moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 9.

There was certainly a lot happening, and we got to see a lot more from Brianna throughout the episode. Not only was she a mother, but she was a daughter and an engineer. There were humorous moments and also some moments where we just had to cheer her on.

Here are my three favorite Brianna moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 9.

3. The talk of using skills in the past

While everyone dyed clothes, Brianna had a chance to talk to Claire about their callings. Claire had always been able to use her healing abilities, whether people called her a surgeon or a witch. Brianna doesn’t feel like she can use her skills at this point in the episode.

But this conversation isn’t just about her. It’s clear to Claire and the audience that she also worries about Roger. Is there something he can do now that he’s lost his singing voice?

I love that we got this moment. Not only was it foreshadowing of something to come in the episode, but it mentioned something fans were waiting for: Engineer Brianna. We got an explanation as to why she was holding back, but now we know she should show up a little more.

2. Brianna risking her life to save her son

When the bison appeared, Lizzie immediately screamed. It was Brianna who figured out a way to get the bison away from Lizzie and Jemmy. She put her life on the line for her own son, which isn’t all that surprising when we’ve seen the type of mother that she is.

Okay, so there are a lot of questions about how Bree stood up after that hit from the bison. However, overlooking that, we saw the fierce protector that Bree has become. We need to see that more often.

1. Engineer Brianna stepping up to the plate

Finally, it is all about Brianna using her engineering skills. Sure, she never finished her degree but that doesn’t mean she isn’t capable of creating things. When she realized that Roger had the snake’s head, she knew that she could do something worthwhile.

Bree quickly put together a syringe from the fang of the snake. It’s something straight out of the book and comes with some excellent timing. More importantly, it brings a side to this character that we’ve waited nine episodes for. Fortunately, it was worth the wait.
