During Outlander Season 5, Episode 9, there was a scene that has got everyone talking. It was a moment of making love without making love, and one of the most intimate scenes we’ve ever gotten on the show. The big question for many is whether it was in “The Fiery Cross” or not.
You all know the scene I’m talking about. As Jamie takes what seems to be his last breath, Claire rips off her nightgown and uses her body heat to help warm Jamie up. When her hand goes below the waist and well, in order to keep this site PG-13, there’s no way I can explain what happened. But I will stand by it seeming to be the most unconventional way to bring someone back from the brink of death.
Using the body heat was certainly not unconventional. Jamie’s body temperature had dropped and his heart rate slowed. Claire wanted to give him her own body heat, which is something she’d know to do for hypothermic patients and for newborns when they’re born.
