We have another wedding in Outlander Season 5, which certainly brings plenty of drama. Meanwhile, Brianna and Roger have to make decisions for the Ridge. It’s time to look at the promo for Outlander Season 5, Episode 6.

Titled “Better to Marry Than Burn,” this promo is certainly going to stir some feelings from fans around the world. There have been many questions about why Claire still wears Frank’s ring. Well, you don’t need to understand someone’s grief, but I have defended her reasons in the past. That doesn’t matter in this episode, though.

5. Bree and Roger are in charge of the Ridge

While Claire and Jamie head off to a wedding, Bree and Roger remain at Fraser’s Ridge. It looks like the two of them will be the ones making decisions. That’s not all that surprising considering Bree is Jamie Fraser’s daughter. The MacKenzies will be the ones expected to make the decisions.

I do wonder if we’ll see Marsali and Fergus helping a little. It’s time the two of them were given more to do. After all, Jamie adopted Fergus into the family. He’s Jamie’s son to the Frasers, so wouldn’t he be there to help make some decisions?

4. There’s a plague of locusts coming

Adso brings in a locust. Or maybe it’s a cricket. I’ll admit that I’m not an expert on bugs. We need Grissom from CSI for that. However, whatever it is, there’s a plague coming to Fraser’s Ridge.

The only way to deal with the plague is to contain it before it gets worse. That means sacrificing some crops to save the rest. There’s a little but of mirror image going on with the world right now—the need to go into states of emergency around the world to contain the spread of a virus. It’s going to be interesting to see how Bree and Roger deal with their situation.

3. Jamie is going to force Claire to remove a ring?

There’s a moment where Claire gives Jamie her ring from Frank, telling him that he might as well take his own ring too. It’s likely that this is linked to a price that needs to be paid for information. Will Jamie think the gold from Claire’s ring is the only thing to pay for it?

Claire loved Frank. He was her first love. And he was the man who chose to raise Brianna. There’s no doubt that she holds that ring close to her heart just like she does Jamie’s. But Jamie understands that. Why would he want her to give up one ring? There has to be a good reason for it.

2. Adso is making himself at home

Adso is the one that brings in the first insect. Bree mentions it’s a gift and she doesn’t seem too weirded out. It looks like Adso has quickly made himself at home bringing in gifts for everyone else, which certainly suits the books.

We could tell from just the saucer of milk that Adso was going to find comfort at Fraser’s Ridge. It looks like everyone is going to dote on him.

1. Governor Tryon’s pardon may not have worked

Governor Tryon opens the Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 promo saying that they may have the war after all. He’s tried to prevent this by pardoning the Regulators, but it may not work. The Regulators don’t care about bein pardoned. They want fair taxes, and you can’t really blame them.

We know a war is coming. The Regulator Rebellion is part of history. How will it all play out in Outlander?
