2. Marsali’s story
Marsali certainly has a way with words. Lauren Lyle has very quickly made this character one of my favorites, and I can’t wait to see more from her in Outlander Season 5. The story with Bree is certainly one of my favorite moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 4.
Marsali is just so deadpan about killing her dad. You can almost believe that she felt at one point she did kill him. But now she knows that it just wasn’t possible. A thought doesn’t make something happen. And it’s the type of conversation Bree needed in that moment.
1. Under the moonlight
Finally, it’s all about the moment under the moonlight. You’ll remember in my Jamie moments piece that I made a note of avoiding this. While it is a great Jamie moment, it’s also a great Claire moment. More importantly, it’s a great Claire and Jamie moment together.
We see their thoughts and their wishes from life. At the same time, we see that they’re comfortable and happy with where they are now. A war may be coming and they may have missed out on 20 years together, but they’re making the most of it now.
