Outlander Season 5, Episode 5 sees Jamie head back to Hillsborough. Here’s a look at what to expect in Perpetual Adoration based on the synopsis.
We’re heading back to Hillsborough in Outlander Season 5, Episode 5. Here’s a look at the synopsis for “Perpetual Adoration” to see what we can expect.
The synopsis doesn’t give too much away about the overall story. We’re not getting to learn what Claire will be up to when she returns to Fraser’s Ridge or what’s in store for Brianna and Roger. Instead, the focus is purely on Jamie, as he heads back to Hillsborough.
Fans will remember that Hillsborough is where the riots took place. Naturally, Governor Tryon is worried that the same thing will happen, especially when Hamilton Knox would have sent dispatches about the horrors of the town and the army the Regulators are building. Is it really that surprising that Tryon is going on the offense?
Sadly, the offense is going to involve and unorthodox solution. I doubt it’s going to be Roger’s method of dealing with problems, which involved a lot of drinking. If you know your American history, you know that the British had a habit of fighting back with more taxes and more problems. It’s no wonder the Revolutionary War took place.
Jamie isn’t the only one who will learn about the unorthodox solution Tryon has. The entire militia is heading to Hillsborough since unlike in “The Fiery Cross,” the militia hasn’t been disbanded at this point. It looks like we’re skipping over Christmas.
Just how will everyone deal with the situation? That’s something to find out soon!
