Outlander Season 5, Episode 3 was a dark and creepy episode, but it was also a strong one. Here are my five favorite moments from the entire episode.

While Outlander Season 5, Episode 3 was a dark episode, it wasn’t without some excellent moments. After looking at each of the main character moments, it’s now time to look at the best moments overall.

Something I do with the best moments is to assess the episodes as a whole. I look at the moments that lead to bigger storylines in the future or otherwise underrated moments because they don’t involve the main characters. I also like to applaud guest stars when they deserve it.

5. Marsali taking everything she’s learning in

We kick off with Claire and Marsali creating their penicillin. Take out the problem of the glass covers and we have some great moments playing out. Something I love is that Marsali is getting more screen time. She’s getting time to grow as a character, and we get to see Lauren Lyle more as an actress.

Throughout the scene, Marsali shows just how much she’s taking in. As a woman in the 18th century, she may feel inferior to others. What can she do except butcher meat and look after a family? We’re seeing just how smart and wise she is. There’s so much hope in the future.
