5 best moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 2
2. Regulators not trusting Murtagh
Something I suspected was that the Regulators would start to distrust Murtagh. He is Jamie’s godfather, after all. We got to see that in Outlander Season 5, Episode 2.
However, Murtagh quickly made it clear that he is on the side of the cause. After all, he didn’t back down in Hillsborough, did he? He was the one leading the raid on the town, willing to do what it took to get the message across that they’re sticking around and things will get worse.
At the same time, he does defend Jamie. He knows that Jamie is just doing what is right for his family, but the man is torn.
1. Bonnet’s return
Finally, we get to see Bonnet’s return. Instead of animal fighting, the show opted for two prostitutes fighting. This isn’t what I want to focus on. I have no feelings about that moment good or bad. My favorite part was seeing Bonnet’s return.
He’s trying to be a gentleman, and it’s clear that he’s going to try to get in with the right people to get at Brianna and Jemmy. However, it won’t take too much to unravel him. When he steps in the ring to fight, he loses some of the pretenses that he has shown up to this point, making Forbes and others concerned.
