Surprise! Outlander Season 5 premiere is available on the STARZ App right now
Happy Valentine’s Day, Sassenachs! To celebrate the day of love, STARZ has released the Outlander Season 5 premiere early. Get all the details.
Surprise, Sassenachs! To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Droughtlander has come to an end. Well, Droughtlander is at an end for the United States. The Outlander Season 5 premiere has been released early for those with the STARZ App.
Yes, you will need the STARZ App to be able to watch. This is available through Amazon Channels and through Hulu’s add-ons, where you should also be able to watch the Season 5 premiere already. The announcement of the release was made during the live stream for the L.A. premiere on Feb. 13.
It’s still not going to air on the STARZ channel until 8 p.m. on Feb. 16. Sorry, everyone!
For those outside of the U.S., there don’t seem to be any plans to bring the release date forward. International channels will be restricted to when they can air episodes, likely only being allowed to air once the episodes have been released on the STARZ channel in the U.S.
That being said, if you have the STARZ App, you can tune in for the Outlander Season 5 premiere. This sees Brianna and Roger’s wedding (not a spoiler, really), and we’ve already had a number of sneak peeks released. One of the most recent was of Bree and Roger doing something that’s actually relatively modern.
For those worried about spoilers, we’re keeping all of our premiere-related content until Sunday. Honestly, while STARZ has released the episode on the app, there are going to be many who only wait for it to air on the channel. And I get that. I can’t verify this being outside of the U.S., but there are reports of STARZ removing the 7-day free trial for the app, but you can get six months for $20.
But for those who do have the STARZ App, I hope you enjoy the episode. After catching the screener for it, I can say that it’s been worth the wait and is an episode you’ll enjoy.
Outlander Season 5 will premiere on the STARZ channel at 8/7c on Feb. 16.
