If you’ve been waiting for the Sassenach Whisky release, there’s an official date. Those in California can get it now, but the rest will get it in March.
Many Outlander fans are excited about other projects and ventures from their favorite actors. Sam Heughan’s Sassenach Whisky is one of those projects, coming very soon in selected states.
The whisky was officially released in California at the LA Burns Night event on Jan. 23. Those in the state can order it, but it’s going to be a while before it comes to other states. Sassenach Whisky will head to selected states on Mar. 2, 2020.
Which states? That’s not entirely clear from the official website. However, Heughan did recently talk about why only selected states were getting the whisky right away and that it will hopefully head to other states (and other countries) in the near future. It’s all to do with the distribution rights with all the legal jumps the company has to take. Importing alcohol is serious business.
Right now, it is just a limited edition whisky. This is something Heughan also wants to change moving forward to make it one of the most popular whiskys on the market.
Update: Sadly, the $99 whisky has currently sold out but that doesn’t mean it isn’t coming back in California. There will possibly be more bottles available from Mar. 2. This is something to keep an eye out on Reserve Bar.
Those out of California or even in other countries can sign up to the Sassenach Whisky email list. You’ll get an alert with a date of when it is coming to a place near you.
