New Outlander Season 5 promo offers some new clips

There’s a new Outlander Season 5 promo. It’s just a short video that mostly covers what we’ve seen or heard in the trailer. But there are some new clips.

There’s no doubt that we’re impressed with the amount of promotion STARZ is bringing for Outlander Season 5. It’s putting this season front and center, making sure everyone knows that it is back. And now there’s a new short promotional video that offers some new clips.

For the most part, this video, which was shared on the Outlander America Facebook page, is full of content that we’ve already seen or heard. It uses the voiceover of Claire in the official trailer, speaking about that feeling of everything “pointing you towards something.” It’s a shortened version though, not including the flashbacks of seasons past.

However, there are brief new clips, including one of a battlefield. There aren’t many Redcoats at first glance, but it’s clear that the Regulators they’re likely facing are outnumbered and out weaponed. This is a war and there will likely be lives lost, something that Jamie brings up during the novel, “The Fiery Cross.”

There are also more clips of Brianna and Roger together. There’s one of them in a room in what looks to be River Run, but it’s more likely to be the Big House. Roger’s guitar is to one side, and the two kiss. We know that while Brianna will have problems with intimacy, her and Roger’s relationship is going to grow this season. However, I hope for some individual character development at the same time.

One of the clips is Brianna and Roger out hunting. We know that Roger has to learn how to shoot, which in the books is when he learns about his eyesight. This could offer a little more development for the characters as individuals.

There is also a clip of Claire holding her infant grandson as she walks through the woods. At one point, she holds him close with a look of fear. At first, I wondered if this was a clip of Claire heading through the woods when she comes across Jamie in the lake, but could there be something hiding in the woods waiting for her?

So far, the short promo for Outlander Season 5 hasn’t officially been released on any of STARZ’s social media promos. However, it is an exciting reminder that the fifth season is coming very soon.
