Outlander fans will continue questioning the lack of award nods for Sam Heughan in Season 5
Outlander hasn’t been nominated as much as it should for awards. That’s especially the case for Sam Heughan. It looks like we’ll continue questioning it!
There’s one thing that all Outlander fans have wondered. Why hasn’t Sam Heughan been nominated for more awards? Why hasn’t he won them? Well, it sounds like we’re going to question that even more during Season 5.
During Michael Ausiello’s scoop for TVLine, he turned over an Outlander question to Kim Roots. She’s the resident person for the series at the publication and has seen the first few episodes of the fifth season. And apparently, there are some major moments in the early episodes. Some of those moments involve Sam Heughan.
Roots says that she continues to wonder why Heughan hasn’t been nominated for more awards. We’re with you there!
Now, of course, it’s led to me wondering what she could be talking about. We know the premiere episode will involve Brianna and Roger’s wedding. There’s a lot that happens during the Gathering for the wedding, but not all of it can be included.
However, the Inside the World teaser did give us a look at one important moment. It’s a moment where Jamie calls on the people around him to stand by his side. And one of those people is his new son-in-law, Roger.
Could this be the moment Roots means? It is an emotional moment and it’s sure to send shivers down the spine when it’s shown on screen. Just the quick clip of it in the Inside the World teaser was enough for many.
However, it could mean we’re left disappointed at awards shows again. It’s time for Sam Heughan to be at least nominated for some of those bigger awards (the ones that aren’t voted on by the fans). Give him the recognition he deserves.
