If you were getting worried about the fate of Outlander on STARZ, I wouldn’t right now. As long as we’re around, the future looks bright.

It’s normal to worry about the fates of our favorite shows. With the likes of Netflix canceling after just one or two seasons, we all get tense when shows move into the fifth and sixth seasons. However, I wouldn’t worry about the future of Outlander right now.

The future has always looked bright, especially since the third season. It continues to look bright based on Jeffrey Hirsch’s words during the STARZ TCA. And this isn’t that surprising considering the series remains one of the most popular for the cable network.

As long as the audience is around, the show will continue. Right now, we have Outlander Season 6 confirmed, but it won’t be long until real conversations about Season 7 and beyond start.

But that’s not all. STARZ and Sony are discussing spin-offs, according to The Wrap. During the TCAs, Hirsch admitted that there is a following for Lord John Grey. And it’s not like we don’t have source material to start with. He’s one of the characters that Diana Gabaldon has been able to delve deeper into through novellas.

We’ve even wondered in the past if a Lord John Grey spin-off series could happen, knowing that there are the source material and fanbase there. It could be the perfect way to ease us through Droughtlander with spin-offs.

Maybe there could even be prequels or one-off series based on other characters. We have all sorts of questions about the likes of Master Raymond, Comte St. Germain, and even Claire’s parents. While not everything has source material, it would allow the writers to branch out into other stories and offer some answers to questions.

All that we do know is that despite Chris Albrecht stepping down as STARZ CEO and Power coming to an end, the future of Outlander looks bright. We just have to keep watching. Deal?
