4. Murtagh continues to rally the Regulators

The Regulators are going strong. While Murtagh says that they don’t have a leader, it’s clear that he is the one that’s rallying everyone together. He’s the one that’s keeping the passion going against the government. And, he’s the one that Governor Tryon has deemed the leader.

Murtagh continues to rally the Regulators in the Outlander Season 5 teaser. You can see him clear in the middle of a riot. Windows are being broken and redcoats are being burned.

This is going to cause problems for Jamie and Murtagh. They are on opposite sides of the war right now. How long will that last?

3. Roger understandably wants to go back

When Roger went through the stones, it was to protect Brianna. There was always the plan to return to his own time. Of course, things have changed.

Roger and Brianna have to make a decision on their next steps. Understandably, Roger still wants to head back to his own time. However, Brianna makes a point that their family is “here.” They’re in the 18th century, and it sounds like Brianna isn’t interested in going back to her own time.

Will Roger be willing to leave everyone he loves behind, including the boy he has declared is his son? I don’t think we have to worry about it, but it is a conversation the two are going to have to have.

One of the issues for Roger is that he doesn’t feel like he belongs in the 18th century. He’s a professor. There’s no work for him in the current time. Brianna has been ready for this trip to the past without even realizing it. Roger will need to find something to do to make him want to stay or feel needed in the past.
