During the NYCC 2019 panel, STARZ released the official Outlander Season 5 teaser. It’s time to break down everything that happens in it.

As expected, STARZ released a teaser for Outlander Season 5 during New York Comic-Con 2019. It was a chance to see a glimpse of what to expect in the fifth season.

While we’ve watched it numerous times, there are certain moments that stand out. We get clues of what to expect, the moments from “The Fiery Cross” that will be included in the season. Now is the time to break down the teaser and find the top takeaways.

There are seven that stand out the most to me. Before getting into them, though, how about we take another look at the teaser trailer for the season.

Here’s a look at the top seven takeaways from the Outlander Season 5 teaser.

7. There’s a feeling of Culloden’s buildup

Throughout the teaser, there’s one feeling that I get. It feels like the show did in the second season, with the buildup to Culloden. Jamie and Claire are side-by-side, staying in tents in the wilderness to get ready for a coming war.

Once again, Jamie suggests that Claire head back to her own time, where she will be safer. It’s clear that he wants everyone to return to their own time to remain safe, even if it means that he’ll be left to die on the battlefield.

This time, Claire will likely put up a fight. She says that she will do “what must be done,” but why do I get the feeling that it’s to send Brianna, Roger, and Jemmy to the future and for Claire to remain with Jamie. After all, she was just a shell without him the first time.
