10. Attempting to lie to Fiona

This was one of those funny moments that the show needed. Fiona made it clear that she knew Claire had gone to the past. This wasn’t a question but a statement, and Roger tried so badly to lie to her.

I was glad that he didn’t try to hide it for too long. He accepted that he was a bad liar and just opened up about the truth. It wasn’t his story to tell, but at the same time, it wasn’t really something to hide. Fiona knew something about Claire’s fate in the past and this was the only way to get that information out there.

9. Choosing to follow Brianna through the stones

After learning about Brianna going to the past, Roger decided to follow her. He needed to make sure she was safe. It’s a storyline that was taken straight from the books, although we didn’t quite get a sense of the time difference for the two characters in Outlander Season 4.

Regardless, it was the act that I love the most. We saw how much Roger cared about Brianna. He knew the dangers of the past and went there in spite of them to protect the woman he loves.
