Outlander Season 1, Episode 12 saw Jamie back home at Lallybroch and see his sister for the first time since the incident with Black Jack Randall. Here are my five thoughts while rewatching the episode.

After Claire chose Jamie, the two headed to Lallybroch. Outlander Season 1, Episode 12 brought a reunion between Jamie and Jenny, which certainly didn’t disappoint. However, there are various parts of the story that can be overlooked during the first watch. Rewatches offer a chance for us to delve deeper.

I certainly saw more throughout the episode during my latest rewatch. Here are my five thoughts during the rewatch.

5. You can see Jamie’s whole demeanor change

Jamie is happy to be going home with Claire but, at the same time, it brings back some hurtful memories. These are memories he’s been able to suppress for so long. Going home should be a joyful time, but it soon brings back a world of memories.

You can see Jamie’s whole demeanor change throughout the episode. The first is on the hilltop, as he thinks back to his last time at Lallybroch and the events of the day. Then we see his demeanor change when he sees Jenny’s son and then as he sees Ian and starts to hear the whole story of what happened to Jenny after Jamie was knocked out.

Sam Heughan does such a beautiful job throughout the episode.
