20 best moments throughout Outlander Season 4
16. Murtagh’s reunions with the Frasers
I did originally have Murtagh’s reunions separately, but with the addition of new moments, I’ve combined them. That’s because all three (yes, three) moments needed to be on the list.
The first was Jamie, as he initially went into give the blacksmith a piece of his mind. The emotion between two men — especially as Murtagh immediately recognized Jamie’s voice, was beautiful.
Next was Claire, and I adored the use of the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” to connect back to why their bond grew so much. Claire’s smile made it clear that she’d missed this man in her life and was just grateful to see him alive and well,
Then it was Fergus, who was sent to protect Murtagh while Jamie was at the theater. Murtagh immediately recognized Fergus and we got to see the two have this quick reunion in the middle of the woods. More importantly, Murtagh didn’t once doubt Fergus, showing the bond they’d formed up to Culloden.
15. Claire bonding with Adawhei
Outlander Season 4 introduced the Native Americans. We got to see the Mohawks later in the season, but at first it was about the Cherokees. And one of those Cherokee people was Adawhei.
Seeing Adawhei and Claire bond was beautiful. We got to see Claire in her element while being respectful to another culture. She learned some of the language, talked about family, and was even honest to someone outside of Jamie about Brianna. It was all set up for sadness, but that didn’t stop me enjoying the moment in the forest.
