20 best moments throughout Outlander Season 4
4. Roger returning to the Mohawks
Knocking Brianna and Jamie’s bee hunting moment out of the list completely (I did mix it in above) is Roger returning to the Mohawks in the penultimate episode of Outlander Season 4. This was a huge moment for his character development.
Throughout this episode, he’d made a point of saying that he would only look out for himself. Yet, this wasn’t the Roger we knew. He would put others first and, in the end, he did put someone else before him. He’d managed to get free but he sacrificed himself to ease the suffering of Father Alexandre.
This showed the heart within him. We got a chance to see a different man to the one we’d seen before. It also connected to another time he returned to the Mohawks — although we didn’t see that — so he could find his way back to Brianna.
3. Brianna and Roger’s handfasting
I’ll give you a hint and say that the top three moments do involve Brianna with different people. The first is Brianna and Roger, as they became handfasted. This was as good as marriage for a year and a day, and it was clear they both assumed nothing would tear them apart in this moment.
We got some mirrors of Claire and Jamie’s wedding during this, but at the same time, it was their moment. There was romance and sensuality weaved in throughout the moment. And the backdrop of the fireplace was just beautiful.
