2. Claire finally being honest to Jamie

I love Jamie saving Claire from the with trials, but it’s the conversation between them that I love the most. This moment in the forest was sweet and beautiful. It was the most honest they’d both been with each other.

Something that I adored about this moment was that Jamie didn’t even question her. He wanted to try to get things in order in his head and understand what she knew, but he didn’t even doubt that she was telling the truth.

In fact, he whole-heartedly believed that when she left him and was captured by Randall that she’d been trying to get back to the stones. He never shouted at her or hated her for wanting to return to her own time, showing him as the kind and understanding man that he is.

1. Claire choosing Jamie in the end

Everything had been leading to this moment. Claire and Jamie had both admitted that they had a strong feeling for each other. This wasn’t normal and Claire admitted that she didn’t feel like this for Frank. However, there was still that possibility that Claire would choose Frank instead of Jamie, especially after everything she’d just been through.

This is one of those times that I prefer the book storyline. It’s explained better than in the TV show. I love that we get to see Claire make the actual decision. When I first watched the show (as a show-first fan), I wondered whether Claire had just found out that she couldn’t go through the stones.

We got to see Claire return to Jamie, and his tears as he felt like he was completely losing her. He loved Claire deeply and just wanted to be happy. Seeing his face light up afterward made it clear that he did hope that Claire would return, even if he said he wouldn’t pray for that.
