2. Knowing he was being watched

This was just a small part at the beginning of the episode and I know it will be overlooked by many, but it was one of my favorite moments for Jamie. At the beginning of Outlander Season 4, Episode 13, he found the Mohawk camp and went spying. However, he immediately knew that he was being watched.

Rather than attempt to pretend he wasn’t being watched, he told Claire and Young Ian that they should make their way in. Jamie, once again, showed himself as a warrior and a Highlander.

Considering everything that he had been through in the Highlanders, it wouldn’t be surprising that he would know what it feels like to be watched. The rustling of the trees wasn’t the wind and he knew it wouldn’t be an animal either. Much of this moment reminded me a little of the rent party when they knew smugglers had come for the items on the truck back in the first season.

Jamie knew the best way to handle the situation. Instead of backtracking and looking suspicious, he knew they would need to continue their journey into the camp and make the trade. It’s not often we see this side to Jamie anymore, so I’m glad we got to see it in the Outlander Season 4 finale.
