Outlander Season 4, Episode 11 may have focused a lot on Brianna, but Claire had some time to mend her relationship with Jamie. Here are Claire’s best three moments from the episode.

Claire spent time on the road, looking for Roger, in Outlander Season 4, Episode 11. It was a chance to mend her troubled relationship with Jamie and do right by her daughter. There were some beautiful moments throughout and here are her three best moments.

I’m only focusing on three, like with Jamie, because Claire didn’t get as much screen time as Brianna. “If Not for Hope” was very much about Bree’s journey and finding a husband, but the episode also helped to mend some fences.

3. Second guessing her attitude towards Jamie

There’s often a lot of hate and anger towards Claire for her reactions to Jamie. I relate to her more than many do, as I have a very similar, stubborn personality. She withdraws into herself when she’s angry or dealing with the weight of the world, which is something I do.

Maybe that’s why I don’t mind when she’s angry towards Jamie. I can see it from her point of view.

However, I also like the subtle looks and moments. As Young Ian tries to coax her feelings out of her, she throws this look towards Jamie. She knows that he’s hurting but she’s hurting too. Right now, she can’t be there for him because she needs to look after herself.

She needs the mental power to heal within before helping others. There’s nothing selfish about that, but she clearly does feel guilty. For a second, she second-guesses her attitude, but she doesn’t budge from the anger right away.
