2. Claire and Brianna reuniting in the past
When it happened: Coming back to the most recent episode, “The Birds and the Bees” delivered us the reunion between mother and daughter. After everything that happened to Brianna, she’d finally found her parents as was about to reconnect with her mom; get that huge that she desperately needed.
Why it was perfect: For Brianna, this was that moment she got her mother to comfort her. Without even telling Claire anything, Brianna could relax and fall into her.
But the best moment was Claire’s mixture of emotions. As happy she was to see the daughter she so desperately missed, she was also shocked and confused. Part of her was also annoyed, believing that her daughter should have remained in the future where it was a good time for her. However, nothing could overpower that mother’s love for Brianna.
1. Jamie and Brianna finally getting to meet
When it happened: Yes, there was only one moment that could take the top spot. In Episode 9, we got the meeting we’d all been waiting for — and it is a meeting, not a reunion because they’ve never met before! After spending months looking for them, Brianna found Jamie in one of the most human moments, peeing around the back of a building.
Why it was perfect: Let’s just start with the fact that this was the big reunion. It was the moment we’d waited all 2018 to see and were worried it wouldn’t happen until the new year.
What we ended up getting was an emotional moment. It all seemed completely normal for Jamie and then the pieces started going into place. With the name Brianna, he realized that this was the girl from the photos. It was his daughter.
Not only was Jamie happy to see Brianna, but she was happy to find him. There was this emotional hug, with Brianna knowing that she could finally cry and let her emotions out, even if Jamie wouldn’t know the full reason for her emotions.
