3 best Brianna moments in Outlander Season 4, Episode 8
1. Agreeing to the handfasting
As Brianna and Roger found some privacy in a shed, it looked like they were finally going to sleep with each other. The last time Roger had stopped them to propose. This time it was Brianna. She didn’t want Roger to continue if he still wanted all of Brianna.
What I adored was that she wanted to give all of her. He followed her 200 years into the past to find her. To her, that was the most romantic gesture he could have made and told her that this was the guy she should be with. Plus, the relief when she saw him should have been a major giveaway.
But what I adored the most was her immediate agreement to a handfasting. It showed the amount of growth she’d been through in the previous episode. While many didn’t like the time at Laoghaire’s, it gave Brianna more of a chance to look at Claire and Frank’s marriage compared to everything she’d heard about Claire and Jamie’s marriage.
That growth meant she was finally ready for an engagement. More importantly, she was ready to give herself to someone she loved — and she knew that she did love Roger with all her heart. And she was ready to give him what he needed from her.
