5 best moments from Outlander Season 4, Episode 7
2. Roger puts his life on the line for the MacKenzies
When a young girl is thrown off the boat because she has smallpox, Roger looks for the baby. He knows that little Jemmy has a rash because of teething and knows the MacKenzies are at risk. This is even before he knows they’re potentially family.
Roger puts his own life on the line for strangers. He knows what he is doing goes against the captain’s orders. He could end up being thrown overboard himself, but he won’t step down from this. We get to see a side of Roger that we’ve never seen before.
1. Brianna sees Frank at the docks
The best moment of Outlander Season 4, Episode 7 is when Brianna was at the docks. After finally getting to Lallybroch and then the harbor, Brianna looked over to see Frank stood in the middle of 18h-century Ayr in his 1960s clothing. It was the perfect meld of past and present for her.
More importantly, she got the approval she’d needed. This was her chance to feel like she was doing the right thing — heading to save Claire and Jamie from a fate that clearly upset Frank years earlier.
I’d loved the use of all the flashbacks and they all led to this moment. Whether a figment of her imagination or a ghost of the past, it was just beautiful to see Frank have that smile on his face. She would always be his little girl.
