2. Jumping in to save John Quincy Myers
Once again, it’s Doctor Claire to the rescue, but this was done beautifully. We didn’t just get Claire using her superpower of healing, but we got to see Jamie fight the “bear.”
But this is all about Claire. I loved that she got the chance to use her healing skills without arguments that she shouldn’t have done it. I’m thinking of all the arguments against her helping the exciseman in Season 3 and then her actions to save Rufus a couple of episodes ago.
This was one of those moments that there was someone innocent that she needed to protect. JQM had even helped the Frasers multiple times, so it was time for her to repay the favor.

At no point did she panic. She just looked at the wound and immediately stepped into doctor mode. We’ve seen her do it so many times before, but it was excellent to see it without any controversy around the particular save. We could just enjoy seeing her in her element.
Plus, we got to see her work with Young Ian more. He’s got a knack for absorbing information and following instructions to a tee. The perfect assistant.
