There are a bunch of reasons we watch Outlander. Some of us have come to the show because of the love of the books. Others come along for the story. Soon enough, we’ll be in the middle of another Droughtlander and looking for ways to use up the time. The Last Kingdom is the perfect show for many.

Based on the novels by Bernard Cornwell, The Last Kingdom tells the story of the fictional character Uhtred. Son of a Saxon but raised by Danes, he finds himself torn between two loyalties. All he wants is his ancestral home back, taken from him by his uncle after his father’s death. However, it’s not as easy as he would like to believe.

The third season has just recently dropped on Netflix and it’s just as exciting as before. This is a series for those who adore historical fiction and want to learn more about the deep history of Britain.
