Outlander Season 4, Episode 3 gave stories from two time periods. Here are the three best Jamie moments from the episode.

We were given some beautiful stories from both time periods in Outlander Season 4, Episode 3. As Claire and Jamie found a place to build their home together, Roger and Brianna realized they wanted didn’t things that pushed them apart.

As with each Monday in the new season, I’m using the #ManCrushMonday moment to look at the Jamie moments. I’ll follow on with Roger moments later. As the time in the episodes was split equally between the two timelines, I’ll drop the best moments from five to three for everyone (otherwise I’d probably just include every single moment from their episodes).

With that in mind, here are Jamie’s best moments from Outlander Season 4, Episode 3.

3. Memories of his mother

Before leaving River Run, he spoke to Jocasta about it. She isn’t happy but part of her does understand his need to leave — well, she suspects Claire has a hold on him and that he isn’t thinking freely.

Regardless, there’s a beautiful moment. Jocasta doesn’t want him to leave empty handed, so she makes sure he takes his mother’s candlestick holders. It’s clear that these mean the world to her but it’s also clear that they mean the world to him.

Jamie has often spoken of how much he misses his mother. This is one of those moments that stands out because he feels one bit closer to her and you can see it in his face. He’ll cherish this gift.
