5 best Claire moments in Outlander Season 4, Episode 2
4. Trying to save Rufus
There is an important lesson to learn. In the end, Claire and Jamie realize that they’ve possibly done more harm than good, but Claire is adamant that she will save Rufus after he’s strung up by a hook.
Taking my thoughts on her actions aside, this moment is a standout one for Claire. She’s compassionate and focused, driven to save a man who, in the end, just cannot be saved. She’ll try everything she can to make sure this young boy has the chance of a life.
3. Connecting with Jamie
At the very start of the episode, it’s clear that Jamie blames himself for everything that happened. He feels guilty, sad, and angry all at the same time. Claire understands that and is compassionate with him. She spends time with him to help him realize that the actions of Stephen Bonnet weren’t his fault.
Bonnet deceived Claire and Jamie. Claire is able to see through Bonnet’s actions and realizes that the man played them as they grieved. We get a hint that she’s immediately learning how she has to change to survive in the 18th century Colonies.
