2. An attack starts after an attack on the plantation

When someone is attacked on the plantation, a slave is going to be strung up for it. Claire won’t stand for that and neither will Jamie.

Even without Claire’s influence, Jamie is a man who believes everyone should be treated fairly and equally. He’s made friends with people from other nations and is a man ahead of his time, so he will always want a fair trial before stringing someone up because of who they are.

Unfortunately, the people of River Run aren’t going to agree with that. Remember the attack that happens in the Outlander Season 4 promo? That takes place in this week’s episode. The title “Do No Harm” seems to play a part in the episode here.

Jamie’s actions to help one slave will go against the law of the land. That’s going to lead to the local people storming the plantation for what they believe is justice.

1. Brianna and Roger may not be a part of the episode

The first episode didn’t involve Brianna and Roger at all. There was some hope they’d show up in the second episode, but it doesn’t look like that will be the case. The two aren’t anywhere in the Outlander Season 4, Episode 2 promo or synopsis.

This may explain why Brianna isn’t likely to do any time traveling before Thanksgiving. She’s not in enough episodes to cement her relationship with Roger yet and we need that before she travels.
