4. The Night Manager

Character: Geoffrey Dromgoole

Air date: Apr. 26, 2016

About the character: Geoffrey Dromgoole is another character that will leave you on both sides. Sometimes you love him and sometimes you hate him. He’s part of the British Intelligence, making him a spy. Yes, you’ll get the sense of Frank Randall at times and it does look like some of the moments he’s taken inspiration from his Outlander character.

To him, politics is murder. That should tell you everything you need to know about the character.

More. A spotlight on Frank's transformation throughout the 20 years on Outlander. light

Why it deserves a spot:  The Night Manager is viewed as one of the best shows made in recent years. It makes sense that it’s on the list. As for Tobias Menzies’ character, he’s certainly someone to watch out for. While not in every episode, he leaves a mark each time.

This is a character that you don’t know which side he’s on, making him hard to trust. To be honest, Menzies places the perfect spy and you can see it in this performance. Don’t expect the bragging of how to make up a good lie in this like we got in the Outlander series premiere. There is certainly more secrecy and he’s not out to make friends.

What’s brilliant about this series is Olivia Coleman is in it too. You’ll get a chance to see Coleman and Menzies in a series together before The Crown.
