Character: Edmure Tully

About the character: Edmure Tully is one of the brothers of Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones. He initially appears due to his father’s death. The family gathers, sort out the arrangements and change to the head of house, etc. However, his role soon becomes much bigger in the sense that he’s the hopeful bridge to help soften the blow that Robb Stark causes.

After his initial set of appearances in Game of Thrones Season 3, he was later brought back for an episode of Season 6. Whether we’ll see him again or not is unknown. The last we knew, he was still in a cell.

Why it deserves a spot: Poor Edmure Tully. This has to be the top of the list purely for Tobias Menzies’ acting. You can’t see a hint of any of the characters that have come before. While you want to see him as Frank and sometimes go completely Black Jack (granted his Game of Thrones appearance was before Outlander, but still), it never happens and you know it won’t.

Edmure will do what he needs to survive, even if it means turning against his family. That doesn’t mean he likes doing it and he will try not to at first. Nor does it mean that he gets what he hopes, such as seeing his child for the first time!
