Steven Cree trolls Outlander fans by saying Jamie’s dead
By Jeremy Dick
Outlander actor Steven Cree had some fun with fans looking for Season 4 spoilers by telling them bluntly that lead character Jamie Fraser had died.
When it comes to producing popular television shows such as Outlander, the cast and crew are always sworn to secrecy. To divulge spoilers for upcoming new episodes would be a sin, and those in the business know never to utter a peep about what’s coming. Still, that doesn’t stop fans from pushing for info, pressuring those behind the scenes for more.
Steven Cree, who plays one of the characters on the show, Ian Murray, decided to have some fun when he was recently hounded for spoilers. According to Daily Record, the actor was asked by fans about Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser on the show. Answering the question, Cree shocked fans by jokingly responding, “Jamie? Uh, he’s dead.”
This certainly made some fans of the show uneasy, as even joking about Jamie’s death could be seen as blasphemous by some. In reality, however, Heughan is expected to arrive on the set soon to begin shooting for Season 4. The article notes that Caitriona Balfe, who plays Jamie’s main squeeze Claire, will also come back to the set soon.
