Scottish actor Sam Heughan is best known for his role as Jamie Fraser on Outlander, and fans can next check him out in the film When the Starlight Ends.
Outlander fans can agree that one of the show’s strongest aspects is its stellar cast. As Jamie Fraser, Sam Heughan is one of the best performers on the show. And while we love him oh so much as Jamie, the actor is taking on other projects to show off his versatility even more.
That brings us to When the Starlight Ends, a comedy/drama film from writer and director Adam Sigal. Starring Heughan opposite Arabella Oz (Jigsaw), the film explores the relationship between a writer and his romantic interest, and how he’s forced to choose between her or his career. David Arquette (Scream series) and Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints) round out the cast.
Just recently, the world premiere of the official trailer was unveiled online. It’s interesting to see Heughan in a totally different role and I’ve got to say, I’m quite intrigued. You can watch the trailer for yourself in the YouTube video below.
The plot seems interesting enough. Playing a quirky writer, Heughan is coming to terms with turning away the love of his life so many months ago. He’s forced to rewrite the story of how they met and what happened over and over, trying to come up with a better conclusion each time. How are things going to turn out for him?
When the Starlight Ends will be available on DVD and all digital platforms on March 13, 2018. Let’s do our best to support Heughan by at least giving the film a rental! Heughan’s involvement aside, the story seems quite compelling, and the film looks quite good.
