Alison Weir Tours are popular with history fans, but the Outlander fandom may have broken the record.

The Outlander fandom has a habit of snapping everything show and book related as possible. They will watch each episode of the series multiple times and devour the books more times than they can count. It’s a passionate fanbase and that has been proven once more with Alison Weir’s Caledonia tour.

The Caledonia tour was shared initially at the start of February, with an image of Midhope Castle, known as Lallybroch to the Claire and Jamie fans out there. It was a hint that Outlander would feature on the tour of Scotland, but then further confirmation came in the middle of last week. The tour would feature 14 locations from the series, going into the real history of these locations. Fans just had to wait until Friday to learn more about the tour.

The Caledonia tour (2019), which launched this afternoon, is now sold out. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for cancellations, please email us at alisonweirtours@hotmail.co.uk.

Only those who had signed up to the mailing list for the 2019 tour was told about it. Within 20 minutes, the tour was completely sold out, surprising (and disappointing) many fans.

It’s really not that surprising. While Alison Weir’s tours can be in the thousands in pounds sterling, they are full of value and excitement. Weir is already an accomplished historian, but this had the extra special addition of Outlander. It wouldn’t be that surprising if it was the fanbase that helped it sell out in record time.
