#8: The TV Show

It’s probably obvious to say that I love the TV show, but you have to understand what it’s been like as an Outlander fan. For twenty-some-odd years fans have waited for some sort of book-to-film adaptation. Outlander has been optioned several times before, but nothing ever came of it. Diana herself has spoken about one such time it was optioned as a movie. It’s laughable to think Outlander could be turned into a two hour film.

It would be impossible, and would rob the fans of what they have waited so long for: to see their beloved characters come to life.

When it was announced that the TV show was becoming a reality, tears came to my eyes. I wish I was joking. I cried I was so happy. And as the castings came rolling in, my heart sang more and more. The entire TV show has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had as a fan, and I can’t wait to ride this train for as long as Starz will let us.
